Soccer Coliseum Tournament (Teaneck, NJ 01/23/11)
We all started the day very positive and already thinking ahead on the final round.
I think that after the great tournament last week, we all felt we could beat anybody. But there were some not so positive things:
1- We played 7 on 7, something we are not used to.
2- We got used to playing indoors in small fields and going back to a bigger size hurt us.
3- We were missing 2 players.
I feel that overall, we tried to play our game, started strong in the first match against NY Elite but faded away slowly after the first goal. We still tried to keep possession and created some nice situations.
I think the loss hit us animically and we never recovered.
I think the highlight of the day was the goal Edgar scored against Asphalt Green. This is the kind of play we would like to make happen more often, right?
What do you think of the games we played? What would you do to prevent the same mistakes and be more prepared to play?
Write 3 positive and 3 things to improve.

ReplyDeleteGood points, David, very observant. Let's see what we can do in practice!
ReplyDeletewe all played well in the first game, i aggre with davis that we play with heart, but in the second we started to collapsed. And they down we went.
ReplyDeleteI think the fist game kept us down. The other team scored a lucky goal and we lost. The next game we needed someone to control the midfield unfortunately we were missing Liam who plays center midfield. We also missed Oliver who is very fast. We will get them next time guys.
ReplyDeleteOur passing was slow in the game and instead of running we were walking on the field. We didn't take shots but we tried our best trying to win the games and we played with a lot of courage.
