This is a video compilation of every moment Messi touched the ball.
How many times does he get the ball?
How long does he hold the ball each time?
When does he usually decide to dribble? When does he decide to pass the ball?
Are his passes always in one direction?
He gets passed to quite a lot. He doesn't hold the ball for that long but most of the plays he sets up for are to the left. He always passes to the left if he wants a wall pass. I noticed that he'll pass it if he doesn't have a play to make but if he has a play he will try to dribble it all the way.
When messi has the chance to dribble he is prepared and knows what his next move is going to be. He also makes a lot of wall passes when his teammates are open. He tries to find space to go through the players and make a goal.
he never holds the ball for to long. And when he passes he never just stands still, he moves to the open space. He waits for just the right moment to pass.
he doesnt hold the ball for a long time but still manages to set up nice plays
